It is truly amazing the power of setting realistic goals and achieving them. Not only do they give you the power of increasing your self esteem, but it is a healthy way of adding a bit of a pick me up to your life! When I start feeling the creeping edges of a pity party, I throw out a new and fun goal for my life. Whether it's going from 8 Cokes a day to 2, not swearing for an entire 24 hour period, or not threatening my 9 year old son with holding him upside down by the toe nails for not picking up his shoes. Whatever my goal, it gives me new purpose and a wonderful outlook on life. Especially when the rewards are yummy! This is so true and on so many different levels! I explained our goal/ reward system here in the office, and laid out our main goals for the summer. I was excited to get some good feedback! I think it’s time to do a little checking and find out if we adhered to our own philosophy, and how it helped us out along the way. Comment on Define Your Goal(s) – Take a Risk and Succeed by Grigor http://4theperfectfit.com/blog/2007/07/08/define-your-goals-take-a-risk-and-succeed/comment-page-1/#comment-517 Grigor Sun, 08 Jul 2007 17:22:31 +0000 http://4theperfectfit.com/blog/2007/07/08/define-your-goals-take-a-risk-and-succeed/#comment-517 Hello Michele, Thank you for mentioning. A level of acceptable risk is always proportional to a value of a goal. Being not a risk taker is inhibition that prevents people in achieving their goals. You're right, splitting a big goal into many smaller and easily achievable might be a good path. Hello Michele,
